Two events were held on March 25th, 2023 as part of the HuntingChange project – one in Sofia, Bulgaria and the other in St. Pölten, Austria. The purpose of these events was to pilot the HuntingChange game, which uses a mobile application to guide participants through a series of challenging tasks with a sports and/or ecological focus. The game’s concept is to provide information about climate change and its connection to a healthy lifestyle, using sports-related tasks to engage and motivate players. The ultimate goal of the game is to encourage participants to change their behavior and take action to address environmental challenges, while also promoting a more active lifestyle. Information is unlocked at each level of the game through QR codes located at various points along the trail. Players scan these codes with their mobile devices, learning about climate change and completing exercises while having fun. The HuntingChange project is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program.
